Welcome

to Canberra and Region Self Psychology Community
We are a collective of counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers who are working psychotherapeutically within a Kohutian Self Psychological framework which places empathic attunement and the therapeutic relationship central to the processes supporting change and growth.
We also recognise the role the body plays in psychotherapeutic work. Many of us have studied a variety of body-oriented modalities allowing us to weave into “talk therapy” awareness of and attention to the stories our bodies tell about what we need. For this reason, many of us identify as somatic psychotherapists.
This website is a hub of information, resources and contacts. This website is a resource for members, other practitioners and potential clients who are seeking more information and links to practitioners and clinical supervisors.
